Dr. Ertl understands that dental emergencies don’t always wait for appointments, that’s why our office offers same-day emergency care. When you call our office, state that your case is an emergency and we’ll make every effort to fit you in that same day.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
Don’t hesitate to call us. However, if you have sustained emergency non-dental injuries, or if you cannot immediately reach our office, then seek medical help at the closest emergency room. If you call us and the office is closed, please make sure to leave a detailed message so that we can get you in to our office as soon as possible.
What should I do if I have a broken tooth?
- Seek care at the nearest emergency room if you have other medical injuries associated with your dental emergency.
- Rinse your mouth with warm water
- To stop any bleeding, apply gentle pressure to the gums around the injury site. Do not apply pressure to the injured tooth
- If your tooth has broken, try to save any pieces that you find
As soon as you can, call our main number and state that you have an emergency. Getting to us as soon as you can gives us a better probability of saving as much of your tooth as possible.
